Hello families and friends of our Massapequa community,

As you know, much of Massapequa and surrounding areas have been devastated by Hurricane Sandy.  Many of you have asked us how you can directly help our community.  The paraprofessionals, secretaries, and teachers of Massapequa have created this site in order for you to offer your donations so that funds can go directly to the families of Massapequa and Massapequa Park.   We will be working collaboratively with YES Community Services and our colleagues in Pupil Personnel Services to identify our families who have been displaced due to the destruction that has caused their homes to be unlivable.

As we work to regain some sense of normalcy in our community, we are so deeply touched by the outreach from so many.  We are comforted by the presence and assistance of our National Guard, FEMA, Red Cross, and other Long Island citizens from less affected areas.  We are forever thankful.
